Arsenal Pulp Press has just published Peter Flinsch: The Body in Question by Ross Higgins.

A book launch will be held at Ménage a trois book store 1672  Ste. Catherine St. E. in Montreal on October 17th 2008 at 7 PM.

Peter Flinsch and Ross Higgins will be in attendance  and available to sign customer copies.

On September 15th 2006 Peter Flinsch received the first Leslie/Lohman Lifetime Achievement Award at the New Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation Gallery in New York City.

The ceremony was held during his career retrospective show: LES IMAGES: THE ART OF PETER FLINSCH at the same gallery.

Painter, Sculptor, Designer, was born in 1920 in Leipzig, Germany.
He is represented in galleries, public, and private collections in New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, Key West (Florida), Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Oxford, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin, Rome and Paris.

Peter Flinsch has worked and lived in Berlin, Munich and Paris. He has been a resident of Montreal since 1955. Until 1985 he was an Art Director  with the Television Services of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. In 1981 he was  the recipient of the CBC's coveted ANIK award for the Best Television Design. For two seasons, from 1986 to 1988, he taught a course in the techniques of Scenic Painting at the National Theatre School of Canada.
